Get Ranked On Google.

There is more to the green lock than security. If your website is encrypted with SSL then Google will push your site higher up the search results, helping your customers find your business, blog or website.

What Are SSL Certificates?

An SSL Certificate is what protects your website’s data on the internet, it’s also what gives your site that little green lock in the address bar. Most internet browsers nowadays will warn users when they enter a “Not Secure” website, so it pays you to have SSL. It looks bad and kills that element of trust between you and your users, and if you are running a business you will most certainly be losing customers. Free SSL certificates are included in all our E-Commerce and Hosting plans but if you are not hosting your business or building your website with us, we are here to offer it as a stand-alone plan as we do with most things.

Answers to Your Questions

How Do I Install My SSL Certificate?

As soon as you purchase an SSL certificate, you will be sent an email instantly notifying you that your purchase has been successful. What happens next will all depend on where your website is being hosted. If you are hosting your website with us you will not even need to purchase an SSL certificate, we give them to you free of charge in all our hosting and e-business packages. If you have mistakenly purchased an additional certificate please contact Technical support.

If you host your website with another company or use VPS or Dedicated Servers you will need to do the following. After purchasing the SSL certificate you will need to activate the SSL credit, however, you may need to generate a certificate signing request (CSR) for your website’s domain name before you can request the certificate. Our certificates are compatible with all types of web servers.

After you create a CSR, you will now need to request your certificate. How you request a certificate depends on the type of server you have.

How Will People Know My Website Is Safe?

When people access a secure website, their browser bar will display a padlock icon and the ‘https://’ prefix in the URL address. While most Internet users know to look for those SSL indicators, you can also add a site seal to your website to show visitors your site is verified and secured. Visitors can click the seal to view your certificate’s status and details, seeing for themselves that it’s safe to send sensitive information to your website.

What Is A Wildcard Certificate?

A Wildcard SSL Certificate protects your primary domain and an unlimited number of its subdomains. For example, a single Wildcard Certificate can secure both www.aaronsbusiness.com and store.aaronsbusiness.com.

Wildcard Certificates secure the common name and all subdomains at the level you specify when you submit your SSL request.
